Beginner Guitar Lesson 4 – Using an Electric Guitar Tuner
If you don’t have an electric tuner yet, it’s something you’re going to want to pickup. Using one isn’t difficult (as the video above explains) and it makes tuning your guitar super easy.
If you have an electric guitar, or an acoustic guitar with a pickup in it you have the option of using a tuning pedal. Tuning pedals can come in handy if you’re every playing live somewhere, or in a jam situation with friends and you’re all playing through amps etc.
For just a regular electric tuner Boss (which is the largest manufacturer of guitar effects pedals) makes a great tuner and metronome combo device. You can pick it up from MusiciansFriend.com for about $25 bucks. Also a great accessory that I’ve used and enjoyed if you’re an acoustic player is the Guitar tuner bracket. It’s not a must, but it is good if you’re sitting and playing and need easy access to your tuner.
For a tuning pedal I would also suggest a BOSS pedal, the TU-3 chromatic tuner is used by thousands of amateur and professional musicians and guitar players around the world. You can take a closer look at either of those products by clicking the links below.
